This ongoing workshop is part of CABI's Shabbat Initiative, designed to help our community celebrate Shabbat together in our homes. Although it is a series, each session will stand alone, so participants are encouraged to drop in as they can.
Rabbi Dan and Haya Kinberg will lead the workshop. We will use the book A Day Apart—Shabbat At Home, by Noam Sachs Zion and Shawn Fields-Meyer, available on Amazon at very reasonable prices, new and used. No knowledge of Hebrew is required, and we will teach to all levels of observance and background. Topics will include:
- Intro and Preparing for Shabbat,
- Lighting Shabbat candles
- Welcoming Angels of Peace
- Blessing Children and Others
- Songs of Love
- Kiddush over Wine or Juice
- Challah
- Shabbat Table Talk
- Soul Singing at the Table

- Malka
- Havdallah.
