Running a Passover Seder 101

Tuesday, February 27, 2018 12 Adar 5778

7:00 PM - 8:30 PMCABI Library

Are you avoiding Passover because of your disdain for matzah? Do you shy away from hosting a Seder because you're afraid you will miss something important, and don't want to be ridiculed? We have the answer for you, on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 pm in the CABI Library.

During this 90-minute class, we will go through a haggadah (Seder prayer book) and note the parts that are required in any Seder, as well as touch on ALL of the extra pieces that can make it a more wholesome experience. You can take this information and sculpt your Seder for your audience and preferences. Not all Seders need run until 4:00 am. Some are shorter than a movie, and that's with dinner! We will also explore some of the different haggadot that are themed in every possible manner you can think of. Ever heard of the Harry Potter Seder?!

So come learn about the Seder and about how you can share your knowledge with others to lead off one of the great festivals of the Jewish year. Questions? Contact Brad Wolf: idbraden@gmail.com or 208-863-8206. By registering online, you'll help us to be ready with enough materials to go around.
