Worship Services

Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel holds two weekly minyan services:

Friday Evening (Erev) Shabbat service: 7:30 pm (except for Early Bird Shabbat; see below)

The Friday Evening service is a reform service. We use the Mishkan T'Filah (blue book) siddur. A short oneg follows the service.

Saturday Morning Shabbat service: 10:00 am

This service is conducted in the Conservative tradition and we use Siddur Lev Shalem (red book). A short kiddush snack follows the service.

Early Bird Shabbat Unplugged: 5:30 pm, usually the third Friday of every month.

Join us for a nosh and beverage at 5:30 pm in our social hall, followed by a musical worship service with the Red Sea Ramblers at 6:30 pm in our social hall.
Complimentary nosh and non-alcoholic beverages. Donations for Early Bird Shabbat alcoholic libations are much appreciated.

All-Ages Kabbalat Shabbat Song Session!

On the third Friday of the month all ages from 0-118 are invited to a Kabbalat Shabbat Song session before Early Bird Shabbat Unplugged.
5:30 - 6 pm All-ages Kabbalat Shabbat Song Session in the sanctuary with Rabbi Dan and musical guests
6:00 pm Join Early Bird Shabbat nosh and beverage with the rest of our community in the social hall
6:30 pm Family-friendly all-ages musical Shabbat evening service in the social hall

Looking for Tot Shabbat? Our all-ages Kabbalat Shabbat Song Session replaces Tot Shabbat for 2018. No charge for Song Session or the nosh afterwards!
