Get Involved!
Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel has many active groups that provide wonderful opportunities for our congregation to give back. From volunteering to caring for other CABI-ites, to working in the garden, to meals for the sick, and even care for the dead, there are so many ways to become involved. Here is a list of our committees and volunteer opportunities and a ways to sign up:
CABI Community Garden - CABI has dedicated a corner of its campus to be a community garden. Plots are made available in the early spring. For more information click here Community Garden Contact Renee Kline: CABIgarden@gmail.com
Chicken Soup Group - This group dedicates its time to helping support those in our community with food, and errands, and basic help. Want to help out? Contact the head 'Hen' at -
Friendship Feast - Each month CABI members participate in an interfaith effort to feed the hungry in the greater Boise Community. The Feast is always accepting food donations and would love eager helpers. Contact - for more information.
The Table - Still in that time of life after college but before 'real' adult life? Check out The Table for events, learning, and hang out times with other people like you.
Chevra Kadesha - The greatest act of giving is to give to those that do not know who gave and can not return the gift. So the act of caring for the dead is a great honor. Our dedicated Chevra Kadesha cares for the bodies of the deceased with love and respect, preparing them for burial. For more information please contact the CABI office.
Teens - CABI has a very active and growing teen organization, CABIT. Check out what they are up to by following the link.
Cooperative Pre-school - CABI is proud to provide space to the Boise Cooperative Preshool.
