Top Volunteer Needs

Interfaith Sanctuary puts on a Christmas Eve dinner every year for their guests. CABI participates alongside the LDS church, and the Islamic Center of Idaho to
provide an amazing meal that is served to seated guests, a true mitzvah!
CABI’s contribution this year is the meat portion of the meal, and holiday cookies.

- December 17th and 18th from 9:00-3:00 in the CABI kitchen: prep-cook-slice 200lbs of brisket
-Bake holiday cookies and drop off at CABI before 4:00 pm on Dec 24th. A minimum of 3-4 dozen on a disposable plate or container that you will NOT get back
- December 24th starting at 4:00 pm Drivers needed to deliver food to Interfaith sanctuary. All food is prepped in the CABI kitchen and shuttled down the hill for the meal throughout the evening.
-Cash donations are always helpful to defray the cost of supplies and to cover the expense for the brisket: 200 lbs of brisket, 50 lbs onions, 1 case of onion soup mix, X-large aluminum roaster pans.

CABI's 128th Gala Planning Committee can use some help.  Our Gala event is celebrating 128 years of Jewish Identity in Idaho, and 20 years of our community’s location on Latah.  This event will be the evening of Saturday, Feb 25, 2023, and will be held at the Idaho State Museum, in Julia Davis Park.  Committee needs help with the following:

-Getting sponsors for the event
-Getting donations for the silent auction
-Designing the program and signage
-Oliver Thompson is CABI's point of contact.

CABI is looking to create a Boise State professional mentorship team.  We are looking for professionals in the CABI community to mentor undergraduate students in the Jewish Students Club at Boise State.  We would like to host a "Meet & Greet" event in February 2023 at the Boise State Alumni Center.
